Inaugural Post Of The Jacumba Journal
Good Morning Jacumba!
Today is December 3rd, 2013 and I have decided to create a Jacumba California Blog. Maybe it will become popular, perhaps the 300 and some residents of Jacumba will follow it with great fervor and enthusiasm.
What if thousands or millions of people in San Diego read about Jacumba and decided they wanted to visit. What if I had thousands or even millions of views from all over the planet and they all wanted to bask in the Jacumba Hot Springs Spa and get massages from my daughter Jenny Nelson.
It could happen.
It probably won’t but it could.
Now keep in mind I'm not trying to just write up another Jacumba Puff piece. I'm just another resident and this little piece of forgotten Southern California does have issues, but I will be honest and tell you that I love my little town.
Now I am a walker, in so much as I enjoy walking around Jacumba and the surrounding countryside, and I usually have my camera with me, this will be great because I can showcase some of my pictures.
I'm not a photographer but you can rest assured that most of the photos you see on this site are photos that were actually taken by me instead of generic Jacumba photos. These photos will have my name on the bottom of them, feel free to use them elsewhere, or copy and paste them, or link to them, or whatever, but leave my name of the bottom of them please.
Trespass is such a strong term but some of these photos
weren't taken on what might be considered public property.
With that said I take snaps of what catches my eye,
and I never ever disturb or take anything other than photos.
The world in general and Jacumba in particular are
beautiful and I love to try to capture that beauty in a photo.
It's like chasing unicorns, it might not be exactly right, but how can you blame a guy for trying?
These photos were taken less than a mile from town.
I hope you enjoy this blog, and tell your friends, and subscribe, and leave comments, and I'll update often.
